The chief executive of each company or lead director for each project is held accountable for safety and occupational health matters. To ensure this objective is met, continued awareness training is undertaken at all levels in the Group.

Environmental Policy
Erinys is committed to an environmental policy where it will develop Environmental Management Systems (EMS) through a culture of environmental awareness and training for the organisation including:

  • compliance with the Environmental Management Plan (EMP) of its customers/clients and all relevant environmental legislation and to establish an EMP for use on contracts where the customer/client does not have a specific EMP

  • endeavour to influence subcontractors and suppliers to strive for environmentally responsible practices

Recruitment
Erinys does not discriminate between race, gender or religion in its recruitment policies. The company encourages the personal development of its staff by both external training courses and internal “on the job” training provided by senior management. The company prefers internal promotion to recruitment from outside and resorts to external recruitment only when no suitable internal candidates can be identified. The company rigorously defends its reputation and that of its clients and prospective new employees are subjected to international vetting to ensure their appropriateness for employment by the company.

Erinys does not tolerate any instances of controlled substance abuse or the consumption of alcohol when on duty by its employees. Misuse of controlled substances and the unauthorized consumption of alcohol will result in the immediate suspension of an employee and disciplinary action coupled with counseling and education.

Code of Corporate Practices and Conduct
Erinys is committed to high standards of corporate governance and affirms its commitment to the principles of openness, integrity and accountability. Each and every group subsidiary is established in accordance with the laws of the host nation and has adopted the US Foreign and Corrupt Practices Act to bind all management within the group. These requirements are amongst the most arduous and stringent in the world. The Executive Committee has regular meetings to ensure that everyone is aware of the latest events and the progress of the company and there are formal board meetings that include participation by all directors.

The board of directors is responsible for setting the direction of the Group and clear guidance is given to the Executive Committee through the establishment of strategic objectives and key policies.
